Sittally

Sittally is an iPhone app for babysitters, mother’s helpers, and sitters of all kinds. Track sessions, bill families, and share invoices from your phone.

Why I built it

My daughters do a lot of babysitting and mother’s helper work for families in our area. They needed a way to track hours and invoice those families without losing track of who owed what.

So I built them a spreadsheet. It got complicated fast. Some families had their own rules for rounding up, and the formulas had to keep up. They could open it, add line items, and eventually export a PDF to share. It worked, but the invoices looked terrible, and wrestling with rows and formula quirks was nobody’s idea of a good time after a long sit.

I finally sat down to build them a proper mobile app. That became Sittally. No more tangled formulas to babysit. No more adding rows by hand. And no more plain spreadsheet dressed up as an invoice.

What it does

• Start the clock, or skip it. Start a session in the moment or log hours after the fact. Flat-rate sits skip the timer and still land on the invoice.
• Every family, in one place. Parents, kids, and sitting types live with the household, so the right rate stays attached to the right people.
• See the week before it hits. Recurring sits and one-offs on a calendar you actually check.
• Your rates, your rules. Babysitting, mother’s helper, pet sitting: hourly or flat. Each service keeps its own price.
• Paid shouldn’t be a mystery. Mark invoices paid when the money lands. Unpaid work stays in view until it does.
• Send it. Get paid. Bundle open timesheets, add fees or tax, and share a clean PDF through Messages or any iOS share sheet.
